Did you know that surfing goes farther back than 1778, when Captain Cook’s men spotted men surfing in Hawaii? Some say it came to Hawaii from Polynesia so it’s probably even older than that. Originally made of wood, they were longer (some 16’) and heavier than today’s surfboards. Today’s boards are made of a foam core and with epoxy, fiberglass, resin and other things to make it a great ride! Check out Costello Coastal Knobs’ surfboard cabinet knob to bring your ride home!
