Wood becomes a piece of art in Peter Costello’s gifted hands. He learned about nature, shorebirds and fish, by spending time watching them, studying their shapes, habits and surroundings. A gift of a carving knife and some whittling lessons from his grandfather created the future world renowned wildlife artist Peter would become. A simple carving knife and keen observations made Costello Coastal Knobs possible.
