BlogBits™: Fly Fishing

Did you know that making fishing flies is referenced as far back as about 200 A.D.? Records show that the Macedonians used colored wool, a hook and “two feathers from below a [rooster’s] wattle” and cast that into the Aestraeus River to catch a “speckled skinned fish” (perhaps a trout?). Today, people all around the world keep up the tradition and create their own flies to catch their targeted fish.
